Nephew's Birthday

It might be hard to tell which one is having the party. . . the little ones are just as excited as birthday boy.  This was just something I shot at his party, but I laugh whenever I look at it!

 

Blends

So I've seen this technique around the photography world, and I just can't decide if I like it or not!  I had to try it a few times just to see what I could do, and I'm still can't decide it I like it.  Ya'll can tell me what you think of them!  These are my second and third attempts at these blends, so please don't laugh at me if I did it wrong!

Rushville, Iowa

I come across some really odd or quirky things when I'm out looking for sites to photograph.  Mom and I happened upon this little area where a town called Rushville once was.  There is still a sign for the town, but not much else.  Just in the middle of nowhere, really. 

It was kind of odd. . . .

Alright, alright, so I'm not good at posting here everyday.  I did try, then I got busy.  Sorry, but anyone who knows me knows that I don't do well with schedules.  It cramps my creativity!  Anyway, I got a new lens today, so I had to run out and get a few shots with it.  I went to the store for a reflector stand, and I come out with a new lens.  I really have to stop going to the camera store. . . no, really.  For anyone who knows lenses, I got the lens today.  The 70-200 2.8.  Here is one of the first shots with it:
