I haven't been out with my camera for several days now.  I've been working on orders and marketing stuff.  The rain doesn't inspire me much either, so here's a real random shot for you, something I found from a while back and hadn't done anything with it yet.  Anyone have a guess as to what it is?  I think I gave it away in the photo title!

 

New borders

I was playing again, and decided to try out some new techniques I've learned.  This is the first border I've attempted, and I'm pretty happy with it!

around with my blog and seeing what I can do.  What do you think of the new banner on top?  I will probably come up with something different later, but this was my first attempt and I didn't think it stunk too much!  Off to play with it some more!

Switchfoot!!!

Jeremy and I just got back from the Switchfoot concert at the Iowa State Fair and it was AWESOME!!!  We are both still just amazed by the show they put on this evening!  I'm in awe with this band right now.  So I only have the one pic to post for now, but I will get the rest up this week.

To the man sitting on my left:  I'm so sorry if you told me your name and I didn't hear it.  Also, I'm sorry that you had to smell us after a long day at the fair!  :)  And for the way I sing!  Never get to apologize for that at concerts, so I thought I'd get that in there!  After you left, they did a little "Shadow Proves the Sunshine" with "We are One Tonight" and it rocked!  Then, Jeremy and I were standing outside the grandstand, you won't believe it - Switchfoot walked RIGHT BY US!  I was freaking out so much that I didn't say a word.  They were also surrounded by security guards, so I decided it wasn't a good idea to run up to Jon and paw at him.  They went back into the grandstand area, and we tried to follow them, but the guards wouldn't let us back in!!!  I guess we all should have been a little more patient, huh?  Remember to email me so I can send you all the pics, would love to share them with you!  Have a safe trip home and God bless you and your family!

We are both still so thrilled we got to see Switchfoot for the second time!  This is one of our all-time favorite bands and if anyone ever gets the chance to see them, it is SO worth it!!!  It's been about 3 hours since the concert and we are still so excited about the show!

5 Favs for July

I was going through my photos from the past month, and wanted to share my favorites.  Some of them may have been posted before, but here they are one more time.

1. The balloons just seemed appropriate for July.  This was taken in a cemetary over the July 4th weekend.  2. I love how the rain drop is in sharp focus, while the rest of the flower is somewhat blurred.  3. I think the light and the deck behind the flowers turned out pretty cool.  4. A different perspective of the queen anne's lace.  5. LOVE this sheep!

Anyone else have a favorite?  I would love to know what you think!
